The first Fairmount Food Crawl occurred on Sunday February 23, 2014. It was a good idea.  Unfortunately, a lot of restaurants ran out of their pig themed food crawl dishes/appetizers/small bites relatively early on.

We managed to sample food at Rembrandt's, La Calaca Feliz, and The Bishop's Collar.

BarLy (Chinatown Philadelphia, PA)

BarLy (Chinatown Philadelphia, PA)
101 11th Street
Philadelphia, PA
Phone: 215-922-2688
Web: http://www.bar-ly.com/

BarLy fills in a gap for a place to grab beer in the Chinatown area.  It fills it well.  There is a very large selection of beer on draft along with a decent cocktail menu.  They do seem to try a bit hard to have asian influenced cocktails.  I was feeling a bit under the weather and not that adventurous so I stuck to the beers.  On another day I might have tried the wasabi bloody mary.  Maybe next time.  There's also a good amount of appetizers and snacks.  Being in Chinatown the price point seems especially nice.

Farmers Cabinet 2014-01-24

The Farmers Cabinet
1113 Walnut Street
Philadelphia, PA
http://www.thefarmerscabinet.com/

Farmers Cabinet is back up and running.  The HH consists of half price drafts (a pretty good deal as they have some decent beers on draft) and 6 dollar sours (whiskey sour, etc)

A few appetizers were tried as well.  They were ok, nothing that amazing.

301-2303 Fairmount Ave.
Philadelphia, PA 19130
Phone: 215-978-4545

London Grill has a decent happy hour with 3 beers on special for happy hour, well mixed drinks, and two house wines on special.  There is also a selection of 3 dollar happy hour appetizers.

Fish and Chips $3

Wings $3

Well Martini $5 (Probably not the best idea to get a martini with well vodka)

Mussels (Red) $3  They also offer it in a white wine sauce

Meatballs $3 (Probably best value item on the Happy Hour Food Menu)

Bar-ly (Chinatown, Philadelphia PA) 2013-11-16

Bar-ly Chinatown
101 N 11th St
Philadelphia, PA 19107
Phone: 215-992-2688
Web: http://www.bar-ly.com/

Bar-ly is a new sports bar in Chinatown that offers 60 beers on tap along with Asian inspired appetizers and bar food.

Being there for a birthday event, food was not the focus of the visit to Bar-ly but a few items were sampled.  Duck dumplings had a slight Asian flair, namely it was dumplings with duck meat.  They also had a steak spring roll with cheese dip that was aptly named the cheesesteak spring roll.  Lastly, we sampled french fries with old bay seasoning and cheese wiz.  The space is nice and I would return for the beer selection alone.  The appetizers are an added bonus.
