The 2015 Fairmount Food Crawl showcased 14 locations with a focus on pork. There were pig inspired dishes at various bars and restaurants in the Fairmount area. Fun festival with samples and plenty of pork inspired eats.

The first Fairmount Food Crawl occurred on Sunday February 23, 2014. It was a good idea. Unfortunately, a lot of restaurants ran out of their pig themed food crawl dishes/appetizers/small bites relatively early on.
We managed to sample food at Rembrandt's, La Calaca Feliz, and The Bishop's Collar.

I generally enjoy going to Alma de Cuba. The restaurant has a fun, dark, classy spacy with a nice lounge area to enjoy drinks while waiting for your party to arrive. By no means cheap, the food is well made and classy. Worth checking out on occasion for dinner and the cocktails are pretty good as well.
Highlights included bacon wrapped dates, ceviche, scallops, lamb, steak, and a delightful bloody mary.

For dinner, I popped into Rembrandts with a few friends. Located in the Fairmount area of Philadelphia this restaurant & pub is known for its beer selection and surprisingly decent food offerings.
We skipped the raw bar and cocktails and zeroed in on dinner items. Supper consisted of the bone in short rib with carrots, celery, onion and potatoes; the roasted 1/2 chicken with tuscan kale; and the burger with porter onions, bacon and white cheddar. To round out the meal we split a side of mac & cheese.
Service was prompt and courteous and everything was properly cooked. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Fairmount area.
