Hawthornes Beer Cafe hosted its 9th Annual IPA, Champagne, and Rose Block Party on Saturday May 12, 2018.  It featured selections of IPAs, beers, champagnes, sparkling wines, and rose.  The event was an all day South Philly block party with food trucks, live music, and a large selection of drinks for $5 each.

The Oval in Fairmount at the Art Museum is once again open for the summer.
I managed to make it to the first day the beer garden and the oval opened.

Food trucks were also present.

Philadelphia is known for having plenty of street/food festivals.  The Manayunk StrEAT Festival is held twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.

For anyone who's a fan of such festivals, there are plenty of food trucks providing food outdoors.  The weather cooperated and it was very sunny and warm.

Eakins Oval in front of Philadelphia's Art Museum has been experiencing a renaissance in creative uses for the space.  This summer it hosted pop up beer gardens, food truck and community events.  For five weeks in October, Eakins Oval has been converted into a movie drive in to celebrate the 80th anniversary of movie drive-ins.

Weekly double features are schedule on Friday evenings from October 18th until Novemeber 22nd.  There are 75 parking spots and anyone who is on foot is able to see the movie for free.

Night Market is a street food festival that occurs periodically in various neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia.  Food truck vendors line a section of streets in neighborhood along with street performers and live music.  For the Night Market in South Street this year over 80 vendors were present.

Such events showcase the vibrant Philadelphia scene and promote the food-truck scene with food, drink and dessert.  Such events are fun to check out and occur every few months and is sponsored/put on by The Food Trust.
