I generally enjoy going to Alma de Cuba.  The restaurant has a fun, dark, classy spacy with a nice lounge area to enjoy drinks while waiting for your party to arrive.  By no means cheap, the food is well made and classy.  Worth checking out on occasion for dinner and the cocktails are pretty good as well.

Highlights included bacon wrapped dates, ceviche,  scallops, lamb, steak, and a delightful bloody mary.

Finally checked out Rouge for brunch.  I am aware that its not exactly cheap but it is located in the heart of Rittenhouse and provides great outdoor seating to people watch while enjoying your meal.  My eggs benedict was well done and my friend's Rouge Burger was executed properly and delicious.  The cocktails were good and my bloody mary definitely had an extra kick of spiciness which I appreciated.

Sang Kee in Wynnewood seems to be favored by those with a slightly more Taiwanese palette as opposed to Cantonese.  Just an observation.  The dishes ordered are a bit repetitive and I'm hoping for a bit more variety next time but as I was not the host, no other real complaints.  The duck is always delicious along with the chicken and fish.

Jack's is a staple in the Fairmount neighborhood for standard American cuisine.  Situated in an old firehouse, it has a unique setting along with outdoor seating.  Always worth checking out for a meal.

Situated atop the Bell Atlantic Tower in Philadelphia is Top of the Tower.  Normally reserved for weddings, corporate events, and social events, Top of the Tower is open for Center City Sips on Wednesdays from 5-7pm.  The highlight of this venue is the view.  Standard sips deals can be had indoors along with decent appetizer specials.  Everyone who has an opportunity should go to at least one Center City Sips event in the summer here just for the view.

Delightful cocktail venue with nice staff and setting.  Definitely worth checking out for happy hour or casual cocktails in a unique lounge space.
