My first London pub stop was to The Marksman Pub.  Along with beers we grabbed calamari, fish and chips with English peas, and grilled salmon.  Dessert included sticky toffee pudding and a mixed fruit crisp with ice cream. Not a bad introduction to the country and a bit obligatory.

Dining Environment: casual attire

Pizzeria Vetri is the latest establishment in the Philadelphia pizza scene by Marc Vetri.  The space is a little tight but it fosters an intimate, casual, experience.

In many ways it reminds me of another newish pizzeria in the area.  Bufad.  Toppings and pizza style are similar.

My party ordered a rotolo (dough, mortadella, ricotta, pistacchio and pesto), one Margherita pizza (basil, mozzarella, sauce), and one Salsicca pizza (fennel sausage, roasted fennel, tomato, mozzarella).  To conclude the meal soft serve fiordilatte and cappuccino were sampled.     The food all was very good and then dessert itself is worth passing by to grab to go when you're in the neighborhood.

Pizzeria Vetri is a welcome addition to the Philadelphia dining scene.
