In Washington, DC I came across Wicked Waffle and sampled their waffle sandwiches.  The waffle serves as the bread and they have savory and sweet versions.  A few options were ordered.  My favorite was the Peking Duck Waffle.

Mango & Brie - cilantro, mango, brie, and spicy berry jam

Peking Duck Waffle - shredded duck meat and cripsy skin with hoisin and plum sauce

Fried Chicken Waffle - panco breaded chicken breast with sriracha syrup
