Mostly good news! Noche has brought back happy hour pizza. Local grad schoolers, college students and cheapsakes rejoice! Half price pizza now runs from 5:30pm to 7:30pm again. I was saddened when they revamped and relaunched Noche as a Mexican restaurant in the Fall of 2012. We sampled their margaritas and limited beer specials along with updated cuisine and stopped going. It looks like they heeded our advice and kept the margaritas but brought back the pizza and modified the menu a bit. Also they now open at 5:30 instead of 4.
For national margarita day, my party and I decided to check it out as their margaritas from the relaunch weren't bad and as such they were still up to bar as a good value margarita. The fancier hibiscus margarita and flavors have been trimmed down into three varieties. Standard, fruit, and grapefruit. During happy hour a glass runs $4 and a pitcher runs $12. Tecate is normally an all day special but for Happy Hour on Friday it was $2 cans.
As it stands now, Noche has potential to be a new happy hour hot spot again.

Noche has a new identity as a Mexican Restaurant. As a graduate student, Noche was home to half price pizzas and a surprisingly good beer special. Grad students in CC may mourne this loss.
The decor remains largely unchanged. The space is still nice and the flat screen tv is now gone. We sampled the food and new margaritas. There are 6 to choose from and come in at 5 dollars. The beer specials are now much more limited.
Bring back the pizza and beer and the restaurant will probably see more clientelle. I don't think patrons would be opposed to keeping the new margaritas and the add on of the mexican food. Unfortunately for them El Rey is just down the street and Qdoba, sad to say, is decent competition.
